FORDYCE — LifeServe Blood Center held a blood drive in Fordyce June 18, and had a great turnout, with 12 donors registered to donate and 15 units of life saving blood collected. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 45 lives.

It is one way the YRAA promotes general aviation in southeastern South Dakota and northeastern Nebraska. Past winners have come from Beresford, Elk Point, Vermillion, and Yankton, S.D.; and Bloomfield, Creighton, Crofton, Hartington, Laurel and Wynot. The YRAA has 95 members from towns in South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska.
