FORDYCE — LifeServe Blood Center held a blood drive in Fordyce June 18, and had a great turnout, with 12 donors registered to donate and 15 units of life saving blood collected. The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 45 lives.
The following donors hit milestones with their most recent donation: Joann Steffen, three gallons, and Roman Kleinschmit, 19 gallons. Duane Schieffer and the team at Cedar Security Bank helped to coordinate the blood drive, and the Fordyce Fire and Rescue Team arranged the site.
The next blood drive in Fordyce will be Aug. 13, at the Fordyce Fire Hall, 3:30-6 p.m.
