LCC golfers open season at Beemer Invitational

BEEMER — The 2024 LCC girls golf team is off to a very successful start.

The Bears golfers put four girls in the Top 15 and earned the team runner-up trophy at Thursday’s season-opening event — the West Point-Beemer Invitational.

Omaha Marion earned the team title with a 360. LCC carded a 412 for runner-up honors and Bennington was third with a 424.

The Lady Bears were led on the day by Skylar Swanson, who fired a 96 to finish the day in sixth place. Omaha Marion’s Leah Wisdom was on fire on the day, burning up the course for an 80.
