Fees to change at Transfer Station

HARTINGTON — Area residents will soon have to pay more to drop tires at the Transfer Station and Recycling Center.

The Hartington City Council Monday approved a new ordinance that puts a rate increase into affect at the Transfer Station.

The current ordinance does not have the rates listed. Ordinance 860 calls for a fee of $2.50 per car tire and $10 for disposal of a truck tire. Tractor tires and tires with rims are more expensive.

The ordinance does not change any other Transfer Station rates, however. A complete list of Transfer Station fees can be found at the Hartington City Of ce.
