Deanna Sue Dittman
WAYNE — Deanna Sue Dittman, 59, Wayne, died March 17, 2018, at her home in Wayne. Memorial services were April 3 at United Methodist Church, Randolph, with Rev. Judy Carlson officiating. Private inurnment was in Randolph Cemetery, Randolph, with an Eastern Star Service by Mount Vernon Chapter #84, Plainview. Memorial Visitation was prior to the service time Tuesday at church and under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Randolph. Deanna was born March 13, 1959, at Lutheran Hospital, Norfolk, to Paul and Ruth (Schulz) Dittman. She was baptized Dec. 20, 1959, at United Methodist Church, Randolph, and confirmed April 4, 1972, at United Methodist Church. She was a 1977 graduate of Randolph High School. She furthered her education in 1980, graduating from Northeast Community College, Norfolk, with an associate’s degree in criminal justice. After graduation, Deanna worked as a teller at First State Bank, Randolph; Ricardo’s I, Norfolk, as a general employee; Ricardo’s II ,as a Waitress/part-time Bartender; and Ricardo’s III, as Assistant Manager. She worked for Taco Del Sol, Wayne, as manager. In 1987, Deanna worked for Pegler/Sysco as a new accounts clerk in Lincoln, and later for American Freezer Services as frozen shipping clerk in Norfolk. In 1995, she moved to Randolph working as the church secretary at United Methodist Church and as a sales associate at JC Penney’s, Norfolk. In 1997, she graduated from ICS Center for Online Degree Studies with an associate’s degree in specialized business and in 1999, graduated from Wayne State College, Wayne, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. In 2006, she became disabled and settled in Wayne, where she spent her days with her cat and visiting her grandkids and her family. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Randolph, and Eastern Star Mount Vernon Chapter #84, Plainview. Surviving Deanna is her daughter, Kayla, and Jeremy Reed, Hoskins; three grandchildren, Dominic, Caden and Maya; one brother, Don Dittman, Fremont; and two nephews, Derek and Jessica Dittman, Hickman, and Darin Dittman, Scottsdale, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruth; her grandparents, Dittman and Schulz; and uncles and aunts.
