WYNOT – Randolph’s One Act play production season came to an end Monday with district competition at Wynot.
The cast and crew received fifth place, competing against seven schools in total.
At districts, Wausa received first place, earning them the honor to move on to state play production competition.
Wynot earned second place. Other schools competing in the same district at Wynot Monday included Howells-Dodge, Emerson-Hubbard, Rock County and Winside.
Randolph cast members earning Outstanding Performer Awards Monday included Kamile Oligmueller, Justin Guenther, Joseph Gonzalez, Jake Harder, Chloe Meyer, Aiden Gubbels, Jacey Bartels, Joe Miller, Gavin Wortman and Brayden Shearer.
This year’s play, “Drama Competition” was a comedy and featured a large cast.
Written by Kamron Klitgaard, it featured a series of different short scenes from plays and stories, including a pantomime, a garden tea party and others.
One of the scenes took on a twist of a classic “Romeo and Juliet” scene.
