Bd. approves bid for Vo-ag building
HARTINGTON — For the second week in a row, the Hartington-Newcastle School Board met in special session to discuss a bid proposal for a new Vo-Ag building at the school.
Monday’s meeting turned out differently than the previous meeting, though.
Last week, the Board voted to table the issue after wrangling over numbers for nearly an hour. This time the Board took less than three minutes to vote to accept RaDec Construction’s bid of $1.230,052.
This number includes all contingencies, meaning no matter if the project runs into unexpected issues, the District will not have to pay anymore than the $1.230,052 bid.
This project had already gone through several costcutting revisions prior to last week’s special meeting.
