Richard R. Keifer

EL CAJON, Calif. — Richard R. Keifer, 77, El Cajon, Calif., died Nov.13, 2018.

A memorial service with Military Rites will be held at the Laurel Cemetery, Laurel, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m.

Richard was born in Laurel July 18, 1941, to the late Ralph and Mae Kiefer. He graduated from Laurel High School in 1959.

Richard was a proud U.S. Navy veteran, who served for nine years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and reading.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mae; and brothers, Donald, John and George; and his sisters, Lenora, Bernadine and Janet.

He is survived by his six children, Mike Keifer, Nebraska; Steve (Carmina) Keifer, San Diego, Calif.; Sindee (Joe) Molnar, Lakeside, Calif.; John (Yuko) Keifer, Hawaii; Trevor (Eva) Keifer, Chula Vista, Calif.; and Jason (Nicole) Keifer, Hawaii; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Tim Kiefer, Charleston, S.C.; and his sisters, Elaine (Jake) Van Holland, Modesto, Calif.; Imogene (Stan) Baier, Wayne; Mary (Bob) McLain, Belden; and Katherine Kiefer, Tucson, Ariz.
