The Big Day

Posted in:

The second try for the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge first graders to get their Arbor Day tree named “Nugget Star” planted finally worked out. Mother Nature cooperated to everyone’s delight. Planting was held Friday, May 10. The Arbor Day Proclamation was read prior to the planting. With the help of tree board members Dwayne Freeman and Mike Manz, the students were able to help plant the tree. The hole was dug prior to the students attending. With the tree in place, mulch placed around it, the name tag placed on the tree, the students were very happy to be a part of this.
