LCC Speech Teams compete in recent meets

WAKEFIELD — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School Speech Team attended the Wakefield speech meet on Feb. 9 and brought home several medals.
Faith Galvin earned a fifth-place finish in persuasive speaking. Jackson Hall was fifth in extemporaneous speaking. Kennedy Hall earned a fifth-place medal for his informative speech.
Kolten Settje garnered secondplace honors for his humorous speech. Settje and Jackson Hall combined to earn a third-place finish in duet acting.
The LCC Junior Varsity Speech students placed at the Hartington-Newcastle meet recently.
Settje placed first in humorous prose, Sam Cross placed second in POI (program of oral interpretation) and Galvin placed fourth in extemporaneous speaking.
