St. Francis cruises past Wildcats in playoff action
HUMPHREY — The playoff run for the Hartington-Newcastle Wildcat football team ended Wednesday with a 54-8 second-round playoff loss to Humphrey St. Francis.
It was a matchup of size versus speed, and the Flyers showed both in the victory.
“I thought our kids played hard and we ran into a group of kids that are really physical, run hard, can throw the ball, and it’s a really complete team that we just played,” said HNS coach Corey Uldrich. “I just told our kids when it was over that this is the type of team we want to be in the future and we have to start somewhere and this is a good start.”
