Wayne earns win over Wynot boys

WYNOT — Wynot took on Wayne in the battle of the Blue Devils on Thursday night at Wynot. The game was close at halftime but W ayne would dominate the second half as they rolled to the 65-42 win.

Wynot was lead by Chase Schroeder who got all 11 of his points in the first half. Zack Foxhoven hit a pair of treys in the first half as well.

Wayne had a very balance attack lead by Daniel J udd with 15 points. The other players hitting double figures with 10 points each. They were Alex Phelp, Sedjro Agoumba and Colson Nelson who hit three treys.

The two team came out firing. Wayne got 9 points on the inside from Daniel Judd. Wynot got 6 points also on the inside from Chase Schro eder as Wayne earned an early 16-13 adv antage.

In the second quarter Wynot got three pointers from Carson W ieseler, Zack Foxhoven and Dylan Heine. W ayne counter with a trey by Carter Jurck and 5 more points by Daniel Judd as Wayne held a 32-25 ha lftime lead.

Wayne’s defense held Wynot to just 4 points in the third quarter. The visitor would explode of 18 points to build a big 50-29 margin.

The visitors got a pair of treys by Colson Nelson, four more points by Daniel Judd and 3 other players hit buckets to fuel the big run .

Wynot reserves got some playing time in the fourth q uarter. Kotner Koch scored four points and Killian Stienhaus hit a three point er for Wynot.

Wayne got five points from Sedjro Agunba and Carter J urck hit a three pointer to make the final tally 65-42 .
