Wilma Jean Burns
NORFOLK — Wilma Jean Burns, 76, Norfolk, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Memorial services were July 6 at Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk, with Rev. Lee Weander officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Visitation was prior to the service Friday.
Stonacek Funeral Chapel, Norfolk, was in charge of the arrangements.
Wilma Jean was born Oct. 5, 1941, in Belden, to Hans and Irene (Joslin) Bach. She attended and graduated from Belden Public Schools. Wilma Jean was married to Neil Manzer from 1959-1971. She later married Jerry Burns. They were married from 1977-1998. After marriage, Wilma lived in Randolph and worked as a cook at Jerry’s Hilltop for many years. She then moved to Enid, Okla., for 15 years where she worked as a cook. In 1990, Wilma moved back to Randolph working as a CNA at the Colonial Manor, Randolph. She moved to Fremont in 2000 working at Al’s Café as well as Wal-Mart in Fremont. After Wilma retired, she moved to Norfolk.
Survivors include her children Kevin Manzer, Auburn; Doug (Rebecca) Manzer, Kennard; Dawn (Shannon) Rowley, Dallas, Texas; Deb (Jay) Riedel, Norfolk; Jeremy (Angelina) Burns, Kennard;and Jason Burns, Omaha; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Wilma Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Irene; brothers, Bob and Jim Bach; and one infant sister, Myrna.
