Authorities searching for missing St. Helena man
ST. HELENA - Authorities are searching for a missing person who was last seen hiking along the south shore of the Missouri River.
Roy Reichle, 61, of St. Helena, is the focus of the search, according to a press release issued by the Missouri National Recreation River. He was believed to have been hiking along the south shore of the Missouri River about one or 1 1/2 miles upriver from the Meridian Bridge Tuesday night.
He has not been seen since.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office, Yankton Search and Rescue and the National Park Service searched the area Wednesday but did not locate Reichle.
He is described as 5-foot-9, 150 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. He may have been wearing a gray or black jacket with gray or black hiking pants.
