Larry Kolar

LAUREL — Larry Kolar, 49, Laurel, died Jan. 24, 2022, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, S.D., after a long battle with health issues.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Feb. 5, at United Lutheran Church, Laurel.

Larry was born Feb. 29, 1972, to Edwin and Lila Kolar in St. Paul. After graduating from Wolbach High School in 1990, he went on to live in Northeast Nebraska where he worked at TWJ Feeds and Heritage Industries. He also drove truck for Heritage Industries and Star. He married Amy Thompson in 1998 and they had three children, Dalton, Aaliyah and Jake.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, football and antique cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, Dalton, Aailyah and Jake; his mother, Lila Kolar; his father, Edwin Kolar; his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Carrie Kolar; nephews, Tyler Kolar and Jarod Kolar; uncles, aunts and many cousins; special friends and caregivers.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials will go to the family.
