Tramp had a strong week and that didn’t go unnoticed for her and the team. She is happy with how the girls performed.
“We are working really hard, having fun, working together and cheering each other on,” Tramp said.
One thing head coach Lee Heimes has seen with his Wynot team is the advancement in performance by his younger athletes.
“Our freshman class is really doing well this year,” Heimes said. “They are scoring a lot of points and are competing at a very high level. They are fun to watch.”
Tramp said the more intense days of the pandemic seem to be slowly slipping into the distance, but there are still aspects that linger.
“it’s just about trying to get past it and not let that get to us,” Tramp said. “I feel like most things are back to normal and now it’s about being aware of the other people around you and keeping your distance.
“We never were aware of the risks that come along with being closer to each other. I’ve noticed that huddles aren’t as close to each other and sharing each other’s equipment and stuff we would normally do, now we are more aware of the things that we use. It’s normal now.”
