Woman’s group tours farm, installs officers
RANDOLPH - The Randolph Woman’s Club enjoyed a tour of Pfanny’s Farm as part of its regular meeting Monday, May 8. As they transported members around the farm, owners Gene and Julie Pfanstiel spoke of the many plants and trees grown on the property and rental facilities available.
Following the tour, the club members met at the Lied Randolph Public Library for lunch hosted by Kathy Moore and Kay Stevens.
President Jo Kilburn announced the $300 Fine Arts Scholarship was awarded to Lily Umberger. She also reported many vendor registrations have already been received for the group’s annual fall craft show. The proceeds from that event go toward new books for the library and equipment needed at the city park.
Members signed up for hosting meetings in the 2023-24 club year and new program ideas were submitted.
President Kilburn installed new officers: Anita Gade, president; Debra Wiese, vice president; Jane Klemens, secretary; and Betts Billerbeck, treasurer.
