State to repair highway through Hartington

NORFOLK — Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, Aug. 22 on N-57 and N-84 in Hartington, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Van Kirk Sand and Gravel, Sutton, is the contractor. The project will begin at the Highway 57-84 intersection on the south edge of Hartington and will end at the north and east corporate limits of Hartington.

Work will include concrete pavement repair and box culvert replacement. Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals and flaggers. Anticipated completion is the end of October.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
