Spelling Bee winners are announced

LAUREL — The second annual Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Spelling Bee for grades K-8 was held on Jan.

29 at the Laurel Community Center.

The champion will continue on to the Scripps Regional Bee in Omaha.

The overall winner was Alyza Leonard. Tenlie Christiansen was second and Aizlynn Kossler took third.

Individual winners in the various grades were also recognized after the event.
