LINCOLN — Brynn Wortmann got Cedar Catholic off to a great start, as she single-handedly led the team to an 8-0 opening quarter lead over South Platte in their Class D1 State Tournament opener here Wednesday night.
The Lady Trojans stayed in front all night long to earn a 46-37 victory.
Cedar now takes on Weeping Water in Thursday's semifinal game.
That contest will be a rematch of the 2020 State Tourney contest when eighth-seeded Cedar upset top-seeded Weeping Water.
