Paul Sudbeck

HOWELLS — Mass of Christian Burial for Paul Sudbeck, 48, Howells, was Feb. 16 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Howells.  A celebration of his life was Friday at Paul’s Shop.  Visitation continued Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at a later date.  Minnick Funeral Home, West Point, was in charge of the arrangements for the family.  Paul died Feb. 10, 2019, at the Parkview Home, Dodge. Paul Anthony Sudbeck was born Feb. 26, 1970, at Yankton, S.D., to Lloyd and Janice (Becker) Sudbeck.  Paul grew up in the Bow Valley area, graduating from Hartington Cedar Catholic High School in 1988 and attending Northeast Community College, Norfolk.  Paul worked for Terra, Farmers Union, and currently was a salesman for Heartland Ag, Grand Island. He married Cheryl (Ridder) Chebuhar July 5, 2002, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Howells. Paul enjoyed boating, golfing, hunting, generally being outdoors, and entertaining at the shop. Survivors include Cheryl Sudbeck, Howells; Megan and Marc Grote, Omaha; Emily Chebuhar, West Des Moines, Iowa; parents, Lloyd and Janice Sudbeck, Bow Valley; siblings, Lynn and Bill Bernstrauch, Norfolk; Beth and Kelly Schommer, Hartington; John and Mandy Sudbeck, Fordyce; Matt Sudbeck, Hartington; Brad and Lisa Sudbeck, Sheldon, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be directed to the family for future designation or Curing Cancer with Clubs c/o the family.
