Paul Lammers
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Paul Lammers, 46, Sioux Falls, S.D., died Jan. 30, 2019, at Avera Dougherty Hospice House surrounded by his beloved family after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Funeral services were Feb. 2 at George Boom Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls.
Visitation was Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Paul was born March 14, 1972, to Alvin “Dick” and Mary Jean (Hochstein) Lammers in Yankton, S.D. Paul grew up on a farm near Fordyce. He attended West Catholic Elementary School and graduated in 1990 from Cedar Catholic High School, Hartington. He married Mandy Murphy June 14, 2003, in Yankton, S.D. They made their home in Sioux Falls. Paul worked for Frito Lay for several years and then pursued a career in his passion for computer technology. He spent the last few years working as an IT specialist, most recently at Medvantx. A job that he loved what he did and the people he worked with. Paul will be remembered for his quick wit, fun loving, kind and compassionate spirit.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy Lammers, Sioux Falls, S.D.; sons, Dylan and Ryland Lammers; parents, Dick and Mary Jean Lammers, Fordyce; brother, Roger Lammers, and his wife, Michelle, Dickinson, N.D.; sister, Christine Ernst, and her husband, Michael, Lansing, Kan.; brother, Jamie Lammers, Sioux Falls, S.D.; and a host of additional relatives and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Chad Lammers; and his grandparents.
