Olivia Noelle Eskens, 25, passed away in her sleep at her apartment in New York City, Feb. 12, 2023.

Formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska, Olivia is the daughter of Mike Eskens and Kari (Jakub) Eskens, Lincoln.

Olivia was an energetic, caring and determined young woman. Graduating from Lincoln Pius X High School in 2015, it was during her high school years she knew she wanted to design cosmetics. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with a chemical engineering degree in 2019. Later that year, she moved to New York City to get her master’s degree from Manhattan College. In 2021, she began living her dream as a technical product design lead - Make-Up for Avon Global.

Olivia is survived by her parents; brother, Andrew Eskens, and sister, Adelyn Eskens, Lincoln; grandparents, Albin “Jake” Jakub and Jeanne (Jambor) Jakub, Schuyler, and Marlene (Schmidt) Eskens, Coleridge; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The ultimate science and space fan, Olivia named her beloved cats Mr. Hubble and Spitzer, after two space telescopes.

Along with her loving family, Olivia touched hundreds of lives with her smile and kindness including her gymnastics family, sorority sisters and her friends in Lincoln and New York.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at US Bank, where all funds will be used to provide donations to causes Olivia was passionate about, including pet adoption and women in engineering.
