NSSA cancels entire Spring sports season

LINCOLN — Nebraska School Activities Association Executive Director Jay Bellar announced Thursday the cancellation of the entire Nebraska high school sports spring season.

Bellar said all remaining NSAA activity practices and competitions, including district and state competitions, have been cancelled for this school year.

"These cancelations are part of a new Directed Health Measure issued by Gov. Ricketts," Bellar said. "The NSAA continues to encourage all member schools to follow CDC, local, state and federal health department recommendations."
