Mary Pinkelman
AURORA, Colo. — Mary Pinkelman, 63, Aurora, Colo., formerly of Crofton, died June 14, 2018. The family received friends on Saturday prior to the service. A Memorial Mass was held July 14 at the St. Rose of Lima Church, Crofton, with Rev. Timothy Podraza officiating. Inurnment was in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton The Wintz Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Mary was born April 20, 1955, to Fredolin “Fritz” and Irene Pinkelman. She graduated from Crofton High School in 1973 and attended Nettleton College, Sioux Falls, S.D., for fashion merchandising. After school, she traveled to the Denver, Colo., area to ski. Later, Mary returned to Colorado, doing both real estate and bartending. She lived in Colorado for many years and very much enjoyed the mountains. Mary is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Szczepaniak; a brother, Galen Pinkelman, Wausa; sisters, Rosetta Hopler, Rockaway, N.J.; Carla (Marvin) Swick, Newcastle; and Laureen (Bob) Thoene, Hartington; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her special friend, Chris Szczepaniak; an infant sister, Karen Pinkleman; and two brothers, Joe and Loren Pinkelman; a brother-in-law, Wayne A. Hopler; and a niece, Melanie Hopler.
