MARSHA MARLENE MULHOLLAND HUFF
ELKHORN — Marsha Marlene Mulholland Huff, 56, Elkhorn, died Nov. 22, 2017, at her home in Elkhorn, with her family by her side. Marsha was born Feb. 24, 1961, in Newport Beach, Calif., to Mike and Margaret (Gerky) Mulholland. She grew up in Valley, where she attended grade school and graduated from Valley High School in 1979. Marsha went on to study as a surgical technician at Methodist School of Nursing. As a young girl, she enjoyed softball and drawing and developed a life-long love of horses. Marsha married Gary Sims Feb. 23, 1985, at her parents home in Valley, and they had two children: Tyler and Ricki. Marsha married Cody Huff in September 2007 and they have lived in Fremont and Elkhorn, Marsha has worked at Hormel, Fleetwood, Hy-Vee and as a surgical technician in Fremont and Omaha before moving on to 3-M in Valley. She continued her love for horses and fulfilled her dream of attending the Kentucky Derby this year. Marsha was an avid fan of the Cubs, Blackhawks, Forty-Niners, NASCAR and live music concerts. She was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing pictures of horses. Marsha was a caring, honest to a fault and sassy woman who loved her grandchildren dearly. Her favorite color was purple and she enjoyed enchiladas, hamburgers, a good glass of wine and dinner out at Harr’s and more recently, Farmer Brown’s. She was preceded in death by her father Mike. Marsha is survived by her husband, Cody; son, Tyler Sims, and daughter, Ricki Sims, both of Fremont; granddaughters, Olivia Thayer and Addison Sims; step son, Alex Huff, Fremont; mother, Margie Mulholland, Fremont; twin sister, Marla and Dennis Vannoy, Elkhorn; sister, Mona Mulholland, Fremont; and brothers, Mike and Mary Mulholland and Mitch and Carol Mulholland, all of Omaha; father and mother-in-law, John and Lila Huff, Randolph; brother and sisters-in-law, Jason and Kay Huff, and children, Laura, Colby, and Johnnie (Courtney), Pierce; Kyle and Cassandra Huff, and children, Waylon and Lucille, Wayne; Marla and Bradley Huwaldt, and children, Madeline and Zachary, Osmond; and Molly and Jefferey Hartman, Randolph.
