Marian E. Truby

LINCOLN — Marian E. (Niemann) Truby, 87, Lincoln, died March 28, 2018, at her home in the Grand Lodge, Lincoln. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at First Lutheran Church, Lincoln, April 7, at 11 a.m. Marian was born in Winside, Jan. 5, 1931, to Otto and Clara Niemann. She was married to Jess Truby Jr. March 24, 1950, in Wayne. Marian, Jess, and family moved to Gretna, where Marian was active in the Resurrection Lutheran Church for 20 years before moving to Lincoln. Jess preceded her in death as well as four sisters and a brother. Many of her family and friends enjoyed visiting with her about her favorite things, family, flowers, butterflies, birds, hand sewing, all Nebraska sports, and her love of reading. She is survived by daughter, Denisse (Mike) Bolte, Ralston; son, Steven (Vicki) Truby, Des Moines, Iowa; and daughter, Leisa Miller, Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Krisa (Michael) Moore, Kevin (Rochelle) Bolte, Keri (Jesse) Talcott, Nicole (James) McCarville, Eric Miller, Danielle (Chris) Reber, Jess S. (Sarah) Truby, and Patrick Truby; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Verda Parr, Ralston;a brother, Leslie Niemann, Lebanon, Ore.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Keith Owens, Wayne; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials can be directed to the family for later designation.
