RANDOLPH – Funeral service for Lowell Fredrick “Fritz” Wiese, 69, Randolph, will be 10:30 a.m., Sept. 7, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Randolph. PMA Dwight Brummels will be officiating the service.

Interment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery, rural McLean.

Pallbearers will be Preston Goetsch, Christian Goetsch, Shane Wolff, Garett Levos, Doug Albers, Brad Albers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Starkel and Zander Wiese.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Sept. 6, also at the church in Randolph.

Lowell died Aug. 26, 2024. Stonacek Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Lowell was born Sept. 3, 1954, in Osmond, to Delhart and Deloris (Schlake) Wiese. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Osmond High School in 1972. Lowell married Brenda Goetsch Sept. 15, 1990, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church and shared 32 blessed years together.

Lowell worked at Vulcraft in Norfolk for 23 years and then at Jerry’s Hilltop.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering around in his shop. Lowell had a well-known motto of “2 Poor to Quit, 2 Young to Retire, and 2 Old to Change my Ways,” which was embroidered on trucker hats that he donned daily, along with his staple attire of overalls.

Lowell is survived by his children, Bryan (Darcey) Wiese, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Tom (Candace) Wiese, Randolph; Ashly (Kelly) Koch,, Norfolk; Karla (Daniel) Sempek, Plattsmouth; and Grady Wiese, Randolph; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Linda Wecker, Verdigre; Elton Wiese, Nevada; Elaine (Doug) Levos, McLean; Nadene Chavet, Plainview; Nyla (Pat) Wolff, Norfolk; in-laws, Eugene (Alice) Goetsch, Randolph; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; parents, Delhart and Deloris; and nephew, Ben Chavet.
