Leon Carl Poskochil

PAWNEE CITY — Leon Carl Poskochil, 75, Pawnee City, died March 2, 2018,in Lincoln. Leon was born June 19, 1942, to James and Laura (Rasmussen) Poskochil, in rural Gibbon. He graduated from Cortland High School. Leon was married to Donna Rasmussen, formerly of Dixon, until her death in 1996. He worked as a sheet rock hanger for many years in Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Laura Poskochil; wife, Donna (Rasmussen) Poskochil; brothers, Terry and Harlan; niece, Kerri (Hartwig) Spilker; great-nephew, Devin Spilker; and nephew, Lucas Scheffert. Leon is survived by his siblings, Carol Hartwig and husband Harvey, Cortland; Sharon Schmidt and husband, Dallas, Naples, Fla.; G. Dean Poskochil and wife, Olivia,Pawnee City; Shirley Wismer and husband, Roger, Lebanon, Ohio; Rodney Poskochil and wife, Leigh, Lincoln; Pamela Poskochil and husband Pat Hulsebusch, Pawnee City; Michael Poskochil and wife, Mary, Lincoln; Dennis Poskochil and wife Jody, Pawnee City; Linda Scheffert and husband, Russell, Lincoln; Shelley Witt and husband, Michael, Phoenix, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Diana Poskochil, Bennet; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Inurnment of the cremains will be at a later date at the Laurel Cemetery, Laurel. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
