Laurel man is arrested in burglary case

HARTINGTON – A Laurel man faces a felony burglary charge after he allegedly broke into his neighbor’s home while he was away.
Francisco Romero, 30, was arrested after police located him in his neighbor’s basement June 22.
The property owner was notified by alarm of the entry into his basement and was able to see a man through the security camera footage. The owner was not home at the time of the break-in.
As currently charged, Romero faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
