CONCORD — Larry Eugene Anderson, 81, Concord, died Nov. 20, 2022, at his home in Concord. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Nov. 30, at United Methodist Church, Allen. Visitation was Tuesday at United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Concord Cemetery, Concord. Arrangements are under the direction of Hasemann Funeral Home, Wayne. Larry was born May 20, 1941, in O’Neill, to Martin Gust and Margaret Louise (Prescott) Anderson. He was a graduate of O’Neill Public High School. He attended college in Omaha and received his degree from the Denver Institute of Technology, Denver, Colo. Larry married Shirley Mundt in Grand Island. Together they lived in Rapid City, S.D.; Valentine; Breckenridge, Colo.; Mission, S.D.; and Concord.

Larry served as a Superstore Manager in several of the communities they lived in, as well as owned and operated a filling station. Four of the homes Larry and Shirley lived in were designed and built by Larry. Larry was a member of the fire department.

He enjoyed many hobbies, collecting bird figurines and pictures, fishing, hunting, gunsmithing, reading, jewelry making and making his own fishing lures.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley, Concord; son, David Anderson, Lincoln; daughter, Theresa (Reese) Thornburg, Elwood; grandchildren, Britnee Ertz, Lexington; Easton Ertz, O’Neill; Hunter Ertz, Quantico, Va.; Allee O’Hanlon, Leasburg, Mo.; and Reese Thornburg, Elwood; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Barber, Rapid City, S.D., and Miriam (Sue) Cudo, California; brother, Marvin Anderson, Brownsville, Ore.; half-brother, Darrell (Jody) Anderson, Dixon; and step brother, Randy Dunn, Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Owen Anderson; sisters, Fran Snow and Stella Kohler; brother, Gary Anderson; brother-inlaw, Gary Barber; and step brother, Dave “Otto” Dunn.
