HNS FFA Chapter members attend Husker Ag Days in Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND — Tractors, seed companies, tires, grain bins, and lots and lots of people, what do they have in common, Nebraska Husker Harvest Days. The Hartington Newcastle FFA Chapter took fourteen seniors on a trip to Grand Island last week to attend Husker Harvest Days.
The day started out exciting when the bus hit a deer on the way down, but that didn’t stop the members of the HNS FFA Chapter.
Upon arrival, the students saw firsthand all of the new innovations from many of the companies that support the FFA.
“Seeing the amount of people who get together to see the new innovation for agriculture is pretty impressive.” said Cole Heimes.
Students participated in a scavenger hunt, where they had to visit different booths and learn about agriculture. The scavenger hunt included everything from water conservation, soil, plant variety and new equipment or technology. Each of the 14 members enjoyed the day by learning something new, and gaining a new learning experience by attending.
