HARTINGTON - The Hartington Community Blood Drive, held Aug. 15, was a great success, with 29 donors stepping up to contribute 35 units of life-saving blood. Each donation made at this event has the potential to save up to 105 lives.
Milestone donors include, Michael Uhing, four gallons; Nancy Dowling, 15 gallons; and Larry Pembrook, 16 gallons.
A special thanks to Duane and Elaine Arens who helped to coordinate this drive hosted by the Hartington VFW.
The next blood drive is scheduled for 12:30-6 p.m., Sept. 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hartington.
