FORDYCE - The Aug. 13 Fordyce Community Blood Drive was a triumph for our local community, with nine donors contributing, resulting in 11 units of life-saving blood collected. The units donated at this event can save up to 33 lives.
Milestones donors include, Twila Jansen, one gallon, and Brandi Kleinschmit, three gallons.
Duane Schieffer and the Cedar Security Bank staff helped to coordinate this drive, which was also hosted by the Village of Fordyce and the Fordyce Fire and Rescue Team.
The next Fordyce Community Blood Drive is 3:30-6 p.m., Oct. 8, at the Fordyce Fire Hall.
