Edsel “Bud” Druyor Jr.
BUTTE — Memorial services for Edsel “Bud” Druyor Jr., 73, Butte, were Oct. 5, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Butte. Pastor David Feddern officiated, with private family burial at a later date. Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post 51. Visitation was Thursday at the church. Brockhaus Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements. Bud died Oct. 1, 2018. Edsel William “Bud” Druyor Jr., son of Edsel W. Sr. and Eilene J. (McCollum) Druyor, was born March 26, 1945, at Ravena, Ohio. He attended Rockwood Elementary, Gilbralter Junior High and Trenton High School, all in Michigan. Bud served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1966, during the Vietnam War, stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha.He married Gaylene F. Hoffman June 6, 1965, at Butte. They had five children, Ladawn, Audra, Bobbie, Jennifer and Kelly. Bud grew up in Rockwood, Mich. After their marriage, Bud and Gaylene lived in Dakota City before moving to Butte. The family moved to Pierce, and they resided there until retirement, which led them back to Butte. Bud retired from Nebraska Game and Parks after 25 years of service. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Butte, and served on the Butte Village Board. While he lived in Pierce, Bud volunteered for the Pierce Fire Department, Law Enforcement, and was a member of the Pierce Boxing Club, in addition to serving on the Pierce City Council. He was an avid hunter and walleye fisherman. Bud is survived by his children, Ladawn (Dave) Blunck, Audra (Donald) Huwaldt, Bobbie (Arlan) Hingst, Jennifer (Vernon) Haselhorst, and Kelly (LeAnn) Druyor; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Linda (Dave) White, Susan Boyd and Mark Druyor, all of Michigan; and in-laws, Verlon (Judy) Hoffman, Butte; Betty Nightser, O’Neill; and Ruth Hoffman, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gaylene F. Druyor; grandson, Garrett Nuesch; parents, Edsel and Eilene Druyor; in-laws, Henry and Alma Hoffman; brothers, Dennis Druyor, Barry Druyor and Keith Druyor; and brothers-in-law, Donald Hoffman and Dean Nightser.
