Donald F. Eickhoff
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — Donald F. Eickhoff, 85, Grand Prairie, Texas, died Feb. 22, 2019, in Arlington, Texas.
A memorial service will be April 6, at 11 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Fordyce, with Rev. Jim Keiter and Rev. Matthew Eickhoff officiating.
Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Fordyce. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington.
Donald was born Jan. 31, 1934, at Beaver Creek, to Frank and Martha (Walz) Eickhoff. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School, Hartington, in 1954. After attending barber school in Omaha, he worked in Homer, and Yankton and Vermillion, in South Dakota, before moving to Santa Ana, Calif., where he started working for AirCal. When AirCal was acquired by American Airlines, Donald spent the rest of his career with American Airlines at Oakland, Calif.; Raleigh, N.C.; and finally in Dallas, Texas, where he retired.
Donald is survived by three brothers and their spouses, Harold and Betty Eickhoff, Hartington; Larry and Joan Eickhoff, Omaha; and Charles and Suellen Eickhoff, Nebraska City; sisters-in-law, Alice Eickhoff, Roseville, Calif.; and Della Eickhoff, Fordyce; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Robert, Daniel and Edward Eickhoff.
