Dental clinic will double in size with new construction in Hartington

Posted in:

HARTINGTON – One door has been closed but another will soon open for the Hartington- based Family First Dental clinic.

The Randolph office closed in mid-August after operating every Friday for the last 22 years. The closure makes way for the consolidation and merger into a new office under construction in Hartington.

“Since we are adding in upgraded technology and equipment, we are unable to duplicate that in two locations or transport it each week to Randolph,” said Emily Rutledge, Family First Dental marketing director. “We felt it was best to consolidate our efforts and budget to bring the area communities a fantastic new office in Hartington, to continue to care for our patients in the most effective way.”

The new Hartington office is being built on Highway 84 in front of the Cobblestone Inn and adjacent to the Casey’s gas station. Once completed, it will be double the size of the current Hartington location and triple the size of the Randolph location.

Dr. Jay Bernecker and his team of dental professionals hope to see the first patients at the new location by late October or early November.

“The office will have the same smiling faces everyone has been seeing for many years,” Rutledge said.

Randolph patients are encouraged to utilize the Hartington office for their dental needs but understand if a patient wishes to transfer their care. Family First Dental has offices in Laurel, Wayne, Plainview, Wausa, Osmond and Norfolk.

“Consolidating my two offices is bittersweet, because I have thoroughly enjoyed my 16-plus years coming to Randolph and the change of pace it brought,” Bernecker said. “ I understand that our Randolph patients are losing the convenience of us being in downtown Randolph, but I hope they can understand why we are making the change. I am excited for all patients to experience our new modernized up-to-date office come this fall and would love to see our Randolph patients follow us to Hartington and new ones to join us at our new location.”
