City Council learns that Cable TV bills will see an increase
HARTINGTON — Local residents will soon see an increase in their cable television bills.
Hartelco CEO Tom Noecker told the City Council Monday that the local cable TV provider must raise its basic cable rate by about eight percent in 2021.
The increase is due to increasing costs from the regional network TV stations, Noecker said.
“Ninty-nine percent of this increase is coming from the Sioux City TV stations,” Noecker said. “We have to carry those, so we don’t have any choice in this.”
