Barrett will headline Cedar County Fair
HARTINGTON — The Cedar County Ag Society announced two of its three July concerts — both million-selling country music artists.
Multi-platinum country star Gabby Barrett will be the headlining performer on Saturday, July 22.
Barrett was originally scheduled to play here in 2021, but had to cancel at the last minute because of pneumonia.
The Cedar County Fair was scheduled to have country singer Gabby Barrett perform on Sunday, but she has contracted pneumonia and had to back out of the show.
Chris Lane, who thrilled crowds here in 2018, replaced her on the Cedar County stage.
Barrett's star has only risen since she was originally booked to play in Hartington.
Barrett was the the most-nominated country music female at the 2021 American Music Awards. She’s been named Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of 2020; an Amazon Music Breakthrough artist and was even named one of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Music.
Her songs have been at the top of the Billboard Country Music Charts since 2018.
Her first hit, 'I Hope,' hit number three on the Billboard charts. She followed that up with 'The Good Ones,' which peaked at 19 on the Billboard charts.
Her latest single, 'Pick Me Up,' spent 18 weeks on the Billboard charts this summer.
Cooper Alan isn't as widely known, but Cedar County Ag Society President Greg Heine doesn't think it will take long before he is just as well known for his music.
He independently built a fanbase of over 8.5 million social media followers and has earned over 80 million streams on his music.
Originally from Winston Salem, NC, he spent his high school and college years playing bars, college campuses, and Honky Tonks all across the Carolinas.
Cooper’s hit singles include “New Normal”, “Tough Ones”, “Colt 45 (Country Remix)”, “Can’t Dance”, and many more.
His songs have reached number one on the iTunes Charts multiple times.
Last year, he started his own record label (Cooped Up Records) and began to translate his social media audience into well attended live shows, selling out venues all across the country.
Because of his streaming and live touring success, he was named a “Next Big Thing” artist by Music Row Magazine.
