Area students will get close-up view of state government
HARTINGTON — Some local students will be traveling to Lincoln this summer for Cornhusker Boys and Girls State.
Both programs will run from June 2-8 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
Hartington-Newcastle, Cedar Catholic, and Wynot will all be sending down students that will be seniors in the fall.
HNS will send Dylan Dendinger and Shaye Morten to Boys State, and Freedom Rogers and Alison Karnes to Girls State.
Cedar Catholic has selected Ann Steffen for Girls State and Brady Steffen for Boys State.
Wynot has selected Cody Osbahr for Boys State and Elizabeth Dodge and Whitney Hochstein for Girls State.
